Carnassarie Castle was built as a house by a Carswell ar around 1565 before his death in 1572. Carswell was serving as a priest by 1553 at Kilmartin just south of where the house was built.
The castle is in fantastic condition with thick stone walls, daffodils in abundance in spring, and fantastic views are available from the open rooftop.
